SkyySkill Academy proudly announces the successful establishment of the first Electric Vehicle Centre of Excellence (EVCOE) Lab at RGM College of Engineering and Technology (RGMCET), Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh. This state-of-the-art lab is designed to empower students and researchers with hands-on training in Battery Technology and Powertrain Development of Electric Vehicles (EVs) – making it a pioneering step towards shaping the future of sustainable mobility.

The EV CoE Lab at RGM College was inaugurated by Dr. M. Santhiramudu, Chairman, RGM Group of Institutions, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries:

  • Dr. V. Ashok Kumar – Director

  • Dr. T. Jayachandra Prasad – Principal

  • Dr. V. Nagabhaskar Reddy – Head of Department, EEE, RGMCET


The event marked a significant milestone in promoting EV education, research, and innovation in Andhra Pradesh, encouraging students to gain practical expertise in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle sector.


Key Highlights of the Electric Vehicle COE Lab


The newly set-up EVCOE Lab is equipped with modern facilities and training resources that focus on:

  • Battery Technology – design, testing, and management of advanced EV batteries.

  • Powertrain Development – training on electric propulsion systems, efficiency optimization, and drivetrain analysis.

  • Skill Development – bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

  • Industry-Ready Training – preparing students for careers in the EV and renewable energy sector.
