Electric Vehicle Centre of Excellence Lab, launched at GWEC, Ajmer, Rajasthan

Skyy Skill Academy proudly announces its partnership in establishing the first Electric Vehicle Centre of Excellence (EVCOE) at any engineering institute in Rajasthan, at Government Women Engineering College (GWEC), Ajmer, in collaboration with Epiroc as the implementation partner.


This state-of-the-art facility is designed to empower students and researchers with hands-on exposure to Battery Technology, EV Powertrain Systems, and applied electric mobility engineering—a significant step toward building the future workforce of sustainable transportation.

The launch of the Electric Vehicle Centre of Excellence Lab marks a landmark moment for technical education in Rajasthan. The initiative brings together academic leadership, industry participation, and applied skill development to create real, employable capabilities in the EV domain.


With Epiroc supporting the implementation and Skyy Skill Labs enabling the training ecosystem, the centre reflects a strong academia–industry partnership focused on future-ready talent.


Key Highlights of the Electric Vehicle Centre of Excellence Lab


The newly established EVCOE Lab includes modern infrastructure and experiential learning resources focused on:


  • Battery Technology – fundamentals, diagnostics, testing, and management systems.

  • Powertrain Development – electric propulsion architecture, efficiency, and drivetrain understanding.

  • Applied Skill Development – connecting classroom theory with real-world EV systems.

  • Industry-Oriented Training – preparing students for careers across EV, energy storage, and allied sectors.



Powering Rajasthan’s EV Future


Through this collaboration, GWEC Ajmer, Epiroc, and Skyy Skill Academy aim to nurture a generation of engineers capable of contributing to India’s rapidly expanding electric mobility ecosystem.
